Top 5 Glaciers In The USA

by Leslie Gabriel January 09, 2021

Water is the key of life. Our planet is one of the few places in the universe where we can find so many of it. As peaceful as water may be, there are some places in the world where we can see how powerful it can be. We are lucky to have some of the most amazing glaciers in the world right here in the USA.

If you’re feeling like having a break to get some nature or you’re looking for a road trip, here are the 5 glaciers in the USA you should visit.

1 - Margerie Glacier, Glacier Bay, Alaska

Probably, Alaska isn’t the closest or more accessible place in our country. However, this glacier is spectacular and pretty active. You can see it active any day of the year and it’s not the only one. There are around 50 more glaciers in the region. If you want to see the best glacier, this is the one to visit.

2 - Blackfoot Glacier, Glacier National Park, Montana

This national park is filled with the most beautiful and amazing wildlife. Named after the Blackfeet Indians who settled on this land, the history of this place will charm you as much as its landscape. You will find more than the glacier, mountain lions, mountain goats, black bears, deer, and wild hare find their home in this incredible land.

Water like it is meant to be, when it was energized and purified naturally. Welcome to our Santevia Mineralized Alkaline Gravity Water Filter. Its like having your own Artesian Well in your kitchen. Plus, it removes nasty fluoride and hundreds of other toxins.

3 - Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau, Alaska

Again, Alaska is not for everyone, we get it. However, you should go at least once and your trip is going to be worth it. This glacier is not as active as the Margerie Glacier, it melts into the Mendenhall lake at a very slow rate. The treat here is the place itself, it’s one of the most beautiful places in our country and there are great tours you can take.

4 - South Cascade Glacier, Washington

Not to sound too dramatic, but you might want to hurry to visit this one before it’s too late. Since the 1950s, this glacier has lost more than half of its ice and is retreating more and more each year. There are still many beautiful sights and you’ll find many species depending on the ecosystem of this place.

5 - Andrews Glacier, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

There are not so many things to say about the Rocky Mountain National Park that hasn’t been said before. Now, this location is particularly special. The Andrews Glacier is more of an adventure than a sightseeing trip. Start on the Alberta Falls and make your way to the Andrew Glacier where you’re in for a hike leading to a great reward. If you make this journey, you’ll have the chance to taste the purest water on Earth, something that not everyone gets to experience.

That’s the list. It’s up to you what kind of experience you’re looking for. It doesn’t have to be only one glacier, you can make this a yearly tradition and find the benefits of refreshing your soul by being in touch with nature.
