Cities with the Best and Safest Drinking Water in America

by Andrew Ciccone April 18, 2018

There are many threats to our tap water from: fluoridation, chemical treatment, filtration and outdated plumbing and fixtures. The best water comes from protected natural springs. The natural minerals give spring water it’s great taste.

Many have turned to bottled water due to the poor quality of their local drinking water which may be contaminated or treated with chemicals to make it potable. Water faces threats from climate change and public health to agriculture, pollution, income inequality, and infrastructure. Water can get contaminated from bacteria like E. coli and coliform.

As surprising as it may seem,  bottled water is not as closely regulated and monitored as tap water. The U.S. has one of the safest water supplies in the world, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set standards for drinking water quality and oversees the states, localities, and water suppliers who implement those standards.

New York City believe it or not has some of the best tap water in the country. New York’s delicious water comes from aquifers of the Catskill Mountains.

The Seychelle Family Radiological Pure Water Filter Pitcher delivers up to 150 gallons of filtered water. This is equal to 1200 half liters of bottled water, making it the economical way for you to enjoy great-tasting healthy water. Plus, no more disposable bottles in the landfill.

A study conducted by the University of Cincinnati evaluated drinking water in over seventy of  most highly populated Metropolitan cities in the contiguous United States. Common contaminants reflecting water quality were selected for the study. The results from this study along with a panel from the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting ranked the top ten cities with the best tasting water in the U.S.
