The Real Benefits Of Lemon Water

So okay, lets just say I love water and I love lemonade, but I really had no idea ...

I have been a fan of detox for quite some time, that love for detox led me to use water in a more healthful way. But, I never new about the lemon and water combo until recently. Then I did some research, and I found out about Jethro Kloss, author of "Back To Eden" considered by many to be the father of the organic health food movement.

Lets just say, Jethro - he loved him some lemon water himself ... From page 563 of his earth shattering book "Back To Eden" - Jethro Kloss points out that that our yellow lemon has lots more to offer than just puckery lips ...

"The lemon is a wonderful stimulant to the liver and is a dissolvent of uric acid and other poisons. It liquefies the bile, and is very good in cases of malaria. Sufferers of chronic rheumatism, rickets, tuberculosis and gout will benefit by taking lemon juice, as well as, those who have a tendency to bleed or have uterine hemorrhages. In pregnancy, it will help to build bone in the child. We find that the lemon contains certain elements which will go to build up a healthy system and keep that system healthy and well. As a food, we find, owing to its potassium content, it will nourish the brain and nerve cells. Its calcium builds up the bony structure and makes healthy teeth."

So, last night, I tried it myself ...

I thoroughly squoze - oops I meant I squeezed - (1) lemon and I mixed it with about 26 ounces of water - in my stainless steel water bottle. Then I began drinking. The next morning, I felt a little bit of the sweats - a sign of the detox engines kicking in - and I felt even more energetic and my skin had a nice glow - all this with just one drink.

Some people say do it daily, but I will buy a supply of lemons and get the rations going for my family. The best part about it is my little drops - the kids - like it too. No nose holding necessary.

Its really easy. Make it yourself ...

  1. Thoroughly squeeze or juice 1 lemon into small bowl - be efficient and get every drop.
  2. Remove any seeds.
  3. Filter 25 ounces of cold water.
  4. Combine lemon juice and yummy filtered water into your favorite reusable water bottle.
  5. Swig away on your perky, tart, detox H2O treat.

You'll be happy you did.
